How to Write a Cosmetic Peptide OEM Project Brief

State whether you are sourcing a raw ingredient, developing a new blend or launching a private-label kit. Identify the intended cosmetic product and target market. A supplier can respond more usefully when the brief explains the decision you need to make.

List the requested INCI identities or attach an existing specification. State content and total fill separately, identify any required analytical data and describe the intended base or companion components. Mark fixed requirements separately from options you are willing to discuss.

Describe the requested deliverable in one sentence before adding technical detail. For example, distinguish bulk ingredient for an in-house serum from a proposed private-label vial presentation. Give the target market and who will formulate or release the finished product. This helps the supplier identify the missing decisions instead of assuming that the word OEM includes every development, testing and regulatory task.

Provide the sample requirement, initial quantity, expected repeat volume and desired schedule. Include packaging references and the destination country. Ask for lead-time stages rather than a single date that hides formula development, approvals and production.

End the brief with a clear request: feasibility comments, a quotation, a proposed sample plan or a document package. Name the criteria needed to approve that stage. This keeps early discussions focused and reduces repeated clarification when the project moves forward.

Mark each field as fixed, proposed or awaiting advice. This is more useful than leaving blanks that may be interpreted as unrestricted choices. Prioritise the launch constraint, the first sample objective and the evidence needed for a go/no-go decision. Ask the quotation to separate included work from optional work so a later request for additional testing or artwork is visible as a scope change.
