Review the method and reference
Ask which conditions, reference material and acceptance criteria apply. The interpretation of a chromatogram depends on what the method separates and detects. A mass result must be evaluated against the expected material and relevant analytical context.
Avoid over-reading a single result
A high main-peak area does not establish every aspect of material quality. Similarly, a matching mass does not independently prove a complete impurity profile or cosmetic suitability. Consider the complete specification and any additional tests required by the project.
Request the right documents early
If your quality team needs chromatograms, mass data, method summaries or additional analyses, include that in the initial brief. Confirm whether data will be supplied for the actual batch. Late requests can affect sampling, costs and the release schedule.
